Сегодня этот пост будет посвящен  IELTS Wriitng (Part 1)- General Module. 
Одним из подвидов этого задания является написание формального письма - в нашем случае это жалоба о плохом качестве услуг, которые не соответсвовали заявленным критериям на сайте. 

Обратите внимание, какая именно лексика может использоваться в таком случае. Попробуйте вставить варианты ответов в пробелы, чтобы у вас получлось полное письмо. Не забывайте, конечно, и про правильный регистр (он же тон) - это формальная жалоба незнакомоу человеку. 


Dear Sir/Madam, 

I am writing to complain about a three-night holiday to Scotland we booked through your company. 1)……………… that the Highland Dreams (booking reference LG61367) 2) ………………. and did not reflect the description on your website. 

According to your website, the hotel where we stayed 3) ………………………… an evening entertainment program, which was described as being ‘varied and fun packed’. Unfortunately, 4) ………….. and left us and the other guests feeling extremely 5) …………………………… 
On the first evening, there was a comedian. However, not only was he not funny, but he also told racist jokes, causing many guests to leave during the performance. When we complained to the hotel management 6) …………. That ‘we did not have a sense of humor’. On the second day, according to the program, we were going to be taught some traditional Scottish dances, which sounded more promising, but 7) …………………………, the event was cancelled at the last minute without any explanation being given, The final night’s entertainment was a ‘Karaoke evening’, which was a complete failure as most of the guests were elderly people who were too embarrassed to sing in public. 

I feel strongly that the description on the entertainment program on your website should be changed as it is 8)…………………………. . We were extremely disappointed by this aspect of our holiday, and, in the circumstances, we believe that we should receive. 10) …………………………..
